Truckbase needed to build a unified fleet operating system while ensuring real-time telematics integration and seamless financial automation.

- Eliminating double entry: Synchronizing orders, rate confirmations, driver settlements, and invoicing directly into accounting software.
- Maintaining app responsiveness: Offloading heavy asynchronous workloads like bulk dispatching and fuel card ingestion from the main app thread.
- Unifying real-time tracking: Aggregating data across 30+ ELD providers, Google Maps API, and automated check calls into a single dashboard.
- Safeguarding product deployments: Establishing reliable CI/CD and automated testing pipelines for a production cloud SaaS serving multiple tenants.
- Centralizing auditability: Unifying front-end user sessions and back-end API traces for rapid engineering troubleshooting.

Established Automated CI/CD and AI-Assisted Testing
Configured CircleCI, Docker Compose parallel worktrees, disposable test DBs (Jest, Cypress, Cucumber), and Cursor AI agents for automated PR reviews against repo design and migration rules.
Architected Asynchronous Serverless Backend
Deployed Fastify on AWS Lambda to process heavy tasks—such as bulk invoice dispatching and fuel-card ingestion—keeping the main core app fast and responsive.
Unified Real-Time Fleet Communications
Integrated WebSockets, Google Maps API, 30+ ELD providers, and quote-to-order workflows with an open tenant API protected by unified tenant security rules.
Implemented In-App Financial Pipelines
Built native PDF generation, rate confirmation workflows, and bidirectional sync for QuickBooks Online/Desktop, fuel cards (Comdata, WEX), and factoring pipelines.
Connected Full-Stack Observability
Integrated Datadog RUM and APM (dd-trace) with Sentry and Amplitude, allowing engineers to trace single user sessions directly to API calls.
This approach transformed daily carrier operations, eliminated manual billing friction, and secured continuous cloud feature delivery.
