How to implement best practices for SEO with HTML?

How to implement best practices for SEO with HTML?

I’ve been thinking that SEO is the sum of small factors, it’s difficult achieve a good SEO if we work by ourselves, but if we combine marketing and front-end development we can create a superlative SEO and with these efforts to rank much higher.

If you are a marketer you need to know some things to achieve your SEO:

  • You have to be a good copywriter.
  • To know how to promote your content in a creative way on social networks.
  • knowledge about web Analyst.
  • You must have HTML5 basic knowledge.

Now, the side of Front-end development:

  • The attribute title is the key in order to raise the ranking of our website. This part is the most important because is the first tag that google reads when it gets into our page.
  • This tag that goes in the title is shown when you share the content on Facebook and of course, when google displays search results in most cases.

After that, maybe you’re thinking something about this:

<title> Title </title>

It’s quite pretty simple and it doesn’t have science, now I’m going to tell you how to improve this easy piece of code.

  • The length shouldn’t exceed the 60 characters because google won’t show the rest.
  • Neither do short titles, try to take advantage of the 60 characters.
  • Include carefully the keywords that you want in order to raise your Site’s Ranking.

Also we have the meta description:

Yes, is that text that appears below of title in search results. This tag is about the description of your website and it shouldn’t exceed the 160 characters. If you use only 80 characters for example, in the search results just will appear one line; well is not a big deal but since what we’re trying to do is to take the major advantage of SEO, the text must be a complete description of your website.

The content of your title tag must reflect the content of your web page. By keeping this simple rule in mind whilst introducing your keywords ideally at the beginning of your title tag will give you an SEO-friendly title tag.

The tags meta keywords are pieces of code that they used in the past for the SEO, but as you imagine, the marketers exceed the use of this and google finally decided not consider them for SEO but… Do we know for sure that Google doesn’t use them anymore?

The header tags (h1, h2) are tags of HTML that helps to search engines rank the content. Also, google use these tags to extract relevant information about the website content, so we can use them in our strategy to get better your SEO.

About HTML

The Html that you use should be validated, this means that HTML must keep the standards of the World Wide Web like not repeat ID’s for example. A search engine doesn’t like the invalidated HTML that usually tends to affect the page speed.

Authorship

And finally, you’ll always link your content with your authorship (your google plus account). You should link all of your domains which you post from your account.

Therefore, in your post you have to embed this:

<a title=”your name” href=”https://plus.google.com/u/0/1818181881818189/” rel=”author”> your name </a>

Conclusion

So! the content keep being the king, but, as I said at the beginning, SEO depends on the sum of small factors and their optimization. A lot of people ignored the part of front-end development to improve their sites. I hope that I have provided you with a good starting point from the SEO world and the relationship with HTML.
